(KBAK\/KBFX)  \u2014 Gunshots rang out on Easter Sunday, with one of the people shot seen in surveillance video running to get help from a group of people, including one dressed as an Easter Bunny.<\/p>\n<p>The Bakersfield Police Department said on April 4, 2026, at around 4:48 p.m., officers were called to <a href=\"https:\/\/bakersfieldnow.com\/news\/local\/bpd-4-arrested-others-injured-in-half-dome-way-shooting\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">reports of a shooting<\/a> in the 4700 block of Half Dome Way.<\/p>\n<p><p>Easter Bunny helps during shooting KBAK\/KBFX<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>When they arrived, officers found an ongoing dispute between residents and two people, a man and a boy, who had arrived in a vehicle. Both the man and the boy had minor injuries and had loaded guns with them.<\/p>\n<p>Other victims were also found and taken to the hospital.<\/p>\n<p>Once medically cleared, both the boy and the man will be booked into the Kern County Juvenile Hall Facility and the Kern County Jail for assault with a deadly weapon and other firearms-related charges.<\/p>\n<p>Surveillance video captures audio of several gunshots. The video showed a group of people, including a person dressed as an Easter Bunny, helping a person who was shot.<\/p>\n<p>Eyewitness News went to the area and spoke to the person inside the costume, who stepped in to help.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe\u2019s like \u2018I just ran to you cause I felt like you were the safest, you\u2019re the Easter Bunny,\u2019\u201d said Sara.<\/p>\n<p>Sara said she helped put pressure on the wound and gave him water. She said she stayed at the location until the ambulance arrived.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI just love helping people.
