SAN FRANCISCO (KRON<\/a>) \u2014 San Francisco\u2019s official 420 day at Hippie Hill has been canceled once again. But that doesn\u2019t mean there will be no way or nowhere to celebrate.<\/p>\n

Growers, sellers and smokers gathered at Moe Greens cannabis dispensary to announce next week is the kickoff of the city\u2019s third annual Weed Week, otherwise known as SF Spacewalk 2026<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe core of SF Space Walk is seven hot growers releasing seven amazing flowers over seven nights at seven of the nicest lounges all around San Francisco,\u201d said event organizer David Downs. \u201cCraft cannabis in California is very much small batch. It\u2019s hard to get to. We\u2019re providing that last-mile solution so these growers, as huge as fans, can actually sit down with them, enjoy the product together.\u201d<\/p>\n

Those participating call \u201cWeed Week\u201d an evolution of 420 day at Hippie Hill. They say, just like restaurant week or beer week, weed will be the thing that draws people from all over to San Francisco starting next week.<\/p>\n

\u201cSpace Walk and Weed Week is a great way for folks to get out and get the shop at the amazing dispensaries we have here in San Francisco,\u201d said Eli Melrod, the CEO of Solful Dispensary.<\/p>\n

He says in past years the event has attracted not only their regular clientele, but those who have come to town for the event.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can speak directly to the customer and show them the product right there in real time, and I think that speaks leaps and bounds,\u201d said Elrock, a grower with Skypack Farms, who enjoys the direct communication without the middleman.<\/p>\n

Organizers are hoping to attract 4,000 enthusiasts, not just for the weed, but also for other events, including a film screening, an art show, and a beach cleanup.<\/p>\n

The official San Francisco Weed Week or Space Walk 2026 kicks off on Tuesday, April 14, and will run through Monday, April 20.<\/p>\n
