Bad Decision<\/p>\n

A new bar opened in the former beloved Starline Social Club space (which was, briefly, A Capella). The West Oakland bar and music venue opened late February, and is open Wednesday-Saturday evenings to 2 a.m. Bad Decision<\/a>, 2236 Martin Luther King, Jr. Way, Oakland<\/p>\n

The Cheese Board Cheese Shop and Bakery <\/p>\n

The Bay Area\u2019s original coop-run pizza shop reopens its cheese and bakery store on Friday, April 10. The cheese and bakery was operating out of a temporary shipping container and was recently closed for a couple of weeks. The shop is back Friday, expanding<\/a> into the former Berkeley Produce Center. \u201c\u2026 We are going to have a dedicated line for cheese service, a dedicated line for bread and pastries,\u201d worker-owner Radcliffe Eccleston of The Cheese Board Collective told NOSH<\/a> earlier this year. \u201cPeople can just expect a much more pleasant, much smoother flow, where they can take their time shopping. H\u014dm<\/p>\n

H\u014dm Coffee opened last Saturday in Hercules. The new coffee shop is along the Hercules waterfront, sandwiched between Rodeo (not to be confused with Rodeo Beach) and Pinole. The shop sources pastries from Oakland-based Gregory\u2019s Gourmet Desserts (aka Gregory\u2019s Underground Desserts), including croissants, muffins, scones, and\u00a0 HOM Coffee<\/a>, 2525 Bayfront Blvd., Ste. E, Hercules<\/p>\n

La Quebrada<\/p>\n

A new Mexican spot opens in Oakland\u2019s Eastlake neighborhood. The restaurant is in the former location of Ph\u1edf Vy, a neighborhood favorite, which closed last May. La Quebrada serves an array of dishes from pupusas to tamales, carne asadas, tacos, burritos, fish, and mole. La Quebrada<\/a>, 401 International Blvd., Oakland<\/p>\n

Nudi Blue<\/p>\n

One of the most anticipated East Bay openings this spring, from the owners of a favorite Berkeley brunch spot, Tanzie\u2019s Cafe. Owners Jezreel \u201cJae\u201d Rojas and Krissana \u201cTanz\u201d Tussanaprasit dreamed up the new concept of a restaurant: a Thai teahouse during the daytime, focusing on teas from Chiang Mai and small pastries and bites such as housemade scones, and tea sandwiches. In the evenings, Nudi Blue will serve seafood and offer a wine bar. Nudi Blue opens Friday, April 9. Nudi Blue<\/a>, 2049 San Pablo Ave., Berkeley<\/p>\n

SoDo Cafe<\/p>\n

Sourdough donuts have arrived in a permanent location<\/a> after three years of pop-ups. The Bay Area\u2019s only sourdough donut company recently soft opened<\/a> in its permanent home at Hammerling Wines in West Berkeley. In addition to donuts, they also serve sandwiches and focaccia\u2019s with toppings. SoDo Cafe<\/a> at Hammerling Wines, 1350 Fifth St., Berkeley\u00a0<\/p>\n
