(KGET) \u2014 Ahead of his retirement, Bakersfield Police Chief Greg Terry sat down one more time with 17 News at Sunrise to reflect on his career.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Chief Terry is retiring at the end of April and took time on Wednesday to discuss what his career meant to him and what he expects in retirement.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cIt was a job that I always knew I wanted to do,\u201d said Chief Terry. \u201cOver time, you really come to learn what protect and serve means. You come do understand how you do your work is important as what you do.
