\n\tGO WEST: Dior<\/a> has revealed the venue for Jonathan Anderson<\/a>\u2019s debut cruise<\/a> show, due to take place in Los Angeles<\/a> on May 13.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tThe collection will be presented on the grounds of the Los Angeles<\/a> County Museum of Art against the backdrop of its new wing designed by Pritzker Prize-winning Swiss architect Peter Zumthor, the house said in a statement shared exclusively with WWD.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe long-awaited and hotly debated extension, known officially as the David Geffen Galleries, will open on April 19 with a ribbon-cutting celebration, marking the beginning of two weeks of priority member access before opening to the public in early May. The concrete building, which houses LACMA\u2019s permanent collection, marks Zumthor\u2019s first American project.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tDespite ongoing geopolitical turbulence, European luxury brands are betting on the U.S. to be a key driver of recovery following a two-year sales slump. Gucci and Louis Vuitton are scheduled to unveil their cruise<\/a> 2027 lines in New York City<\/a> on May 16 and May 20, respectively. Gucci has also sponsored the annual LACMA gala since its inception in 2011. <\/p>\n

\n\tMeanwhile, members of French luxury association Comit\u00e9 Colbert hope to put U.S. trade tariffs and diplomatic tensions behind them with an exhibition in New York celebrating 250 years of French and American friendship<\/a>, scheduled to run from May 26 to 31. \u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tDior<\/a>\u2019s show in L.A. follows last year\u2019s opening of its flagship on Rodeo Drive<\/a> designed by American architect Peter Marino.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe French fashion house has a long-standing love affair with Hollywood, dressing many leading ladies on- and off-screen.
