Disneyland\u2019s 70th anniversary celebration played a starring role on \u201cJeopardy!\u201d as one of the categories on the Monday, April 6 episode of the long-running television game show hosted by Ken Jennings.<\/p>\n

Jennings read the Jeopardy clues in video segments recorded inside Disneyland aboard rides and in front of park landmarks. The three contestants back in the TV studio buzzed in to give their answers in the form of a question during the show\u2019s Double Jeopardy round.<\/p>\n

The topics included King Arthur Carrousel, Star Wars: Galaxy\u2019s Edge, Main Street USA, Sleeping Beauty Castle and Jungle Cruise.<\/p>\n

The contestants were reigning champ Jamie Ding (a bureaucrat and law student from New Jersey) and challengers Mikey Hlebasko (a sales operations director from Georgia) and Maggie Faucher (a research assistant from Pennsylvania).<\/p>\n

The five Disneyland 70th anniversary clues were:<\/p>\n

The $400 Clue: A merry-go-round at L.A.\u2019s Griffith Park inspired Walt Disney to create his theme park and Disneyland\u2019s carousel was one of the original attractions. Jingles here was dedicated to Julie Andrews, honoring her role as this classic Disney film character.
\nThe $800 Clue: In 2019, Disneyland opened a new land, Star Wars: Galaxy\u2019s Edge, complete with this starship flown by Han Solo and Chewbacca.
\nThe $1,200 Clue: As envisioned by Walt Disney and his earliest Imagineers, Main Street USA with its turn-of-the-century nostalgia, was inspired in part by Walt\u2019s own upbringing in this state. Show me.
\nThe $1,600 Clue: One of the original features at Disneyland, one that opened in 1955, Sleeping Beauty Castle drew inspiration from this famous castle in Bavaria.
\nThe $2,000 Clue: One of Adventureland\u2019s star attractions is the Jungle Cruise, taking you along remote rivers on boats originally inspired by the one skippered by Humphrey Bogart in this classic film.<\/p>\n

The $400 Response: Who is Mary Poppins?
\nThe $800 Response: What\u2019s the Millennium Falcon?
\nThe $1,200 Response: What\u2019s Missouri?
\nThe $1,600 Response: What is Neuschwanstein?
\nThe $2,000 Response: What is \u201cThe African Queen\u201d?<\/p>\n

Ding picked up $4,800 in the Disneyland category with correct responses to the $1,200, $1,600 and $2,000 clues.<\/p>\n

Faucher got the $800 response correct and Hlebasko swept up the $400 clue.<\/p>\n
