Friday, April 10 | Viewing Starts at 4 p.m. and Activities start at 4:30 p.m. Activities end at 7 p.m., but viewing will continue if Splashdown is later.<\/p>\n

This event is included with admission. Come earlier in the day and save your receipt to join the PJ Party! Explorer Pass Holders and Museum Members are free.<\/p>\n

Get ready for an unforgettable day of discovery, excitement, and real-time space history at the San Diego Air & Space Museum\u2019s Artemis II Splashdown Family PJ Night Watch Party<\/a>!<\/p>\n

Timed with the anticipated return of NASA\u2019s Artemis II mission, this immersive event invites families to witness the dramatic splashdown of the Orion capsule\u2014expected just off the coast of San Diego\u2014and celebrate humanity\u2019s next step toward the Moon.<\/p>\n

Experience Spaceflight in Real Time<\/p>\n

Guests will gather in the Museum\u2019s Pavilion of Flight at least one hour prior to splashdown to watch the live broadcast of Orion\u2019s return to Earth on a massive LED screen. Follow along as the capsule re-enters the atmosphere, deploys parachutes, and splashes down\u2014marking a historic milestone in human space exploration.<\/p>\n

Hands-On Activities for All Ages
Starting at 4:30 p.m., guests can explore a variety of education-led activity stations, including:<\/p>\n

– Chocolate heat shield experiments
– Parachute and safe-landing challenges
– Stomp rocket launches
– Robotics and engineering builds
– 3D pen design creations
– Blackout poetry inspired by space communications<\/p>\n
