{"id":262407,"date":"2026-04-11T08:11:21","date_gmt":"2026-04-11T08:11:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/262407\/"},"modified":"2026-04-11T08:11:21","modified_gmt":"2026-04-11T08:11:21","slug":"temporary-g-line-detours-at-sepulveda-as-construction-continues-for-busway-overhaul","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/262407\/","title":{"rendered":"Temporary G Line detours at Sepulveda, as construction continues for busway overhaul"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/la.urbanize.city\/post\/metro-breaks-ground-668m-upgrade-g-line-busway\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">One year after commencing work in Van Nuys<\/a>, construction continues for a $668-million upgrade to the G Line busway.<\/p>\n<p>This week, <a href=\"https:\/\/thesource.metro.net\/temporary-bus-and-bike-detours-as-we-replace-the-g-lines-sepulveda-station\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Metro announced<\/a> temporary bus and bike detours at the G Line&#8217;s crossing of Sepulveda Boulevard, where a new bridge will be added to segregate transit vehicles from north-south traffic.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The detour, which began on March 28, and will remain in effect through the end of 2027, requires G Line passengers to board at a bus stop on the north side of the Sepulveda Station park and ride lot, at the intersection of Erwin Street and Langdon Avenue. That means that parking access to the lot will be limited to the entrance on Erwin Street, with access closed via Haskell Avenue.<\/p>\n<p class=\"image-and-caption\">\n<a class=\"fancybox\" href=\"https:\/\/la.urbanize.city\/sites\/default\/files\/styles\/1140w\/public\/2024-05\/g%20line%20improvement%20map.jpg?itok=nJk7zrXB\" rel=\"article-image-set nofollow noopener\" title=\"Metro\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" class=\"image-950w article-inline-image\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/g line improvement map.jpg\" width=\"950\"\/><\/a><br \/>\nG Line Improvements projectMetro<\/p>\n<p>The overcrossing of Sepulveda is one of two grade separations included in the project.
