The City of Pasadena\u2019s Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department and California Golden Gloves opened the Annual California State Boxing Tournament today, bringing one of amateur boxing\u2019s most storied competitions to Victory Park Recreation Center.<\/p>\n

The two\u2011day event, running April 11\u201312, 2026, is being held at 2575 Paloma St. in Pasadena. Athletes and fans began arriving early this morning as the tournament launched its latest chapter in a legacy that dates back more than a century.<\/p>\n
Founded in 1923, the California Golden Gloves remains one of the most prestigious stages for amateur boxers. This year\u2019s tournament features top male and female competitors, ages 18 and older, representing gyms and boxing programs from across Southern California. For many athletes, the event is a proving ground, a chance to showcase their skills, gain recognition, and compete at a high level in front of seasoned coaches, scouts, and passionate fans.<\/p>\n
General admission tickets are available only at the door on each tournament day. Entry is $25 for adults and $10 for children ages 10 and under.<\/p>\n
The tournament continues through tomorrow, with bouts scheduled throughout the day as fighters advance toward state titles and the opportunity to elevate their amateur careers<\/p>\n
