During the conference, alongside her attorney, Roberto Serrato, Christina said the experience has left her shaken and traumatized.\u201cI was scared, definitely scared of what was going on,\u201d she said. \u201cIt\u2019s very overwhelming\u2026 I feel frustrated, and I\u2019m scared.\u201d Christina said she initially relied on her memory when describing what happened but later reviewed the video more closely. She now believes agents fired their weapons before the driver attempted to reverse and leave the scene. According to Christina, the video shows agents with guns drawn toward traffic in a busy commute corridor, raising concerns about safety for bystanders.\u201cI really did think it was strange that somebody would be getting stopped right in that area, because it\u2019s a very heavy traffic area with a lot of people going through there in the morning,\u201d she said. Her attorney said Christina was so traumatized in the days following the incident that she initially avoided watching the footage altogether. Christina also said she did not realize at the time that the agents involved were with Immigration and Customs Enforcement, believing instead it was some type of routine traffic stop.She has since retained legal counsel and is expected to be interviewed by the FBI next week as part of the ongoing investigation.Despite her fear, Christina said she came forward because she would want someone to do the same if she or her family were involved.\u201cI didn\u2019t ask to be in this situation, I was just trying to go to work like everyone else,\u201d she said. Officials have not released additional details about the condition of Carlos Mendoza Hernandez, but Christina\u2019s attorney said he is recovering in the hospital.
