\u201cState leaders must actually hold social media, AI companies accountable | Opinion<\/a>,\u201d (sacbee.com, April 8)<\/p>\n I am 16 years old and greatly disturbed by what these huge social media companies can get away with. Should I boycott these tech giants? Should I personally go without amenities such as artificial intelligence?<\/p>\n I believe it is a great evil that these large companies control so much with no accountability, and we have a responsibility to do something about it. Doris Matsui for not calling the war in Gaza a genocide. Numerous international human rights organizations and United Nations bodies agree with the International Association of Genocide Scholars that Israel\u2019s war on Gaza meets the legal definition of genocide.<\/p>\n Matsui has consistently voted to send weapons to Israel. Her failure to call this a genocide \u2014 a failure shared by too many of her colleagues \u2014 has contributed to the cascade of disasters we are witnessing in Lebanon and Iran.<\/p>\n Patricia Daugherty<\/p>\n Sacramento<\/p>\n Fight against The SAVE Act<\/p>\n \u201cThe SAVE Act is not about voter ID \u2014 it\u2019s about voter suppression | Opinion<\/a>,\u201d (sacbee.com<\/a>, March 28)<\/p>\n I am a wife, mother and grandmother in Tracy. I serve my church and community in multiple ways.<\/p>\n After 40 years of voting consistently, I am appalled that when I reregister, I may have to bring my passport, birth certificate, or even marriage license. This is an unfair burden. But I\u2019m more worried about the poor and marginalized citizens who don\u2019t have the means to obtain their birth certificate, a costly passport or a marriage license (possibly for a marriage that has ended).<\/p>\n This seems onerous and deliberate.
