A Detroiter who killed a man outside a Southfield gas station could be out of prison in five years, as sentenced Wednesday by Oakland County Circuit Judge Nanci Grant.<\/p>\n

Convicted of voluntary manslaughter at the conclusion of a brief jury trial in January, Gregory Anthony Clark, 67, was sentenced to 6-15 years in the Michigan Department of Corrections for the death of Eddie Fisher Clora, 64. Jail credit of 365 days was applied.<\/p>\n

He was also ordered to pay $8,000 in restitution.<\/p>\n

Clora died at Henry Ford Providence Southfield Hospital on April 12, 2025 after a fight with Clark outside a BP gas station at Eight Mile and Lahser roads. The two men were reportedly friends.<\/p>\n

Clark turned himself in to police four days after the fight.<\/p>\n

Clark received an enhanced sentence as a four-time habitual offender, court records show. Restitution of $8,000 was ordered.<\/p>\n

A charge of second-degree murder \u2014 which carries a penalty of up to life in prison \u2014 was dismissed.<\/p>\n

Clark is in the Oakland County Jail, awaiting transfer to the state\u2019s prison system.<\/p>\n
