Multiple people have been shot at Howe Community Park in Sacramento<\/a>, the Sacramento County Sheriff\u2019s Office has shared on Facebook.<\/p>\n

\u201cDeputies are on scene at Howe Park in Sacramento investigating a shooting<\/a> involving multiple victims<\/a>. At this time, there is no confirmed update on the condition of those involved. There is no suspect information available at this time,\u201d the post reads.<\/p>\n

This is an active investigation. Anyone with information on the incident has been urged to contact the Sacramento County Sheriff\u2019s Office at (916) 874-5115.<\/p>\n

The incident took place near the Home Depot parking lot, according to Scanner Radio.<\/p>\n

Witnesses speak out<\/p>\n

Facebook users and some witnesses flocked to the comment section of the post. \u201cWhy were there so many people there? Home Depots parking lot was completely full. Was there some sort of event at the park leading up to this? We passed by and a helicopter was already circling around 6:45pm,\u201d one user wrote. \u201cI heard a few shots rang out last night when I was sitting outside my porch smokin,\u201d another said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am listening to the whole thing on the scanner.. no suspects info yet,\u201d wrote a user, while another said, \u201cThat\u2019s crazy. I was just up there with my kids too around one or 2 o\u2019clock.\u201dHeard gunshots and seen a lot of people running down our street to get to their vehicles. hope everyone is safe!\u201d said a user.<\/p>\n

\u201cOh no! Prayers for the victims,\u201d wrote a user, while another said, \u201cmy.son was there playing basketball, I picked him n his friend up at 6 to take the home…I had never seen so many people before..it was wild\u201d. \u201cOmgg prayers to the victims and their families. Sh** getting crazier by the second,\u201d wrote a user.<\/p>\n

According to CBS News, the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District also responded to the scene.
