Wisconsin Badgers<\/a> men’s hockey forward Simon Tassy has signed an ATO with the Bakersfield Condors.<\/p>\n The Condors are the AHL affiliate of the Edmonton Oilers and are giving Tassy a shot to prove himself<\/a> after a stellar collegiate career.<\/p>\n The senior’s time in Madison came to an end in the National Championship game where Wisconsin fell to Denver, 2-1. Now, Tassy has a chance to continue playing.<\/p>\n Bakersfield revealed Tassy would be switching jersey numbers from No. 11 to No. 86 after signing his amateur tryout contract.<\/p>\n It’s worth noting this is different than the entry-level contract<\/a> some of his teammates signed. Either way, it gives Tassy a chance to play in the AHL, which is a stepping stone to joining Connor McDavid in Edmonton.<\/p>\n Need a news break?
