Chords for Good<\/p>\n
Chords for Good, an award-winning student ensemble, is set to perform Saturday, April 25, noon-1 p.m., at the Joan Pisani Community Center, 19655 Allendale Ave. in Saratoga. The concert will include solo and group performances featuring piano, flute, guitar and violin.<\/p>\n

Cars for careers<\/p>\n
The Silicon Valley Career Technical Education (SVCTE) center is hosting its 20th annual Bob McTaggart Custom and Classic Car Show on Friday, May 1, 5-8 p.m., at the Metropolitan Education District, 760 Hillsdale Ave. in San Jose.<\/p>\n
Each year, the event attracts hundreds of attendees who come to admire a wide variety of custom and classic vehicles, including cars, motorcycles, trucks and bikes.<\/p>\n
The show supports SVCTE\u2019s SkillsUSA chapter, a Career Technical Student Organization that helps students develop hands-on skills and leadership experience in preparation for careers in automotive technology and related industries. Previous shows have raised over $10,000 to support student competitions and educational resources.<\/p>\n
In addition to showcasing vehicles, the evening also features raffles, prizes, live music by Cold Storage and food prepared by SVCTE\u2019s Culinary Arts students.<\/p>\n
Admission is free for spectators.
