(FOX40.COM) \u2014 A domestic violence suspect is in custody following a several-hours-long standoff in Sacramento.<\/p>\n

Shortly before 9:30 p.m. Sunday, the Sacramento Police Department responded to the 3800 block of Franklin Boulevard about reports of a domestic violence incident. The\u00a0SPD said the victim has non-life-threatening injuries and is recovering.<\/p>\n

SPD said the suspect was believed to be armed when he barricaded himself inside a home on Franklin Boulevard.<\/p>\n

The SWAT team and crisis negotiators were on scene for about seven and a half hours trying to get the suspect to surrender. Just after 5 a.m. a man came out of the home and was placed in handcuffs and a police car. The road is still blocked off to pedestrians and drivers along Franklin Boulevard at the intersection of Sutterville Road and 12th Avenue.<\/p>\n
