South Lyon, Brandon Township and Groveland Township are opting out of the early voting this time.<\/p>\n<p>South Lyon Clerk\/Treasurer Lisa Deaton told The Oakland Press in September it costs the city $5,000 for early voting and that\u2019s too much. The state allows communities to opt out of early voting when the only issues on a ballot are local. Deaton said South Lyon\u2019s turnout is too small to justify the cost.<\/p>\n<p>Voters can still apply for and pick up absentee ballots or cast a ballot in person on Nov. 4.<\/p>\n<p>Oakland County operates several early voting sites for many municipalities. Early voting hours for county-run sites are 8:30 a.m. to 4:40 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Thursday hours are noon to 8 p.m. There is no early voting on Nov. 3<\/p>\n<p>The county\u2019s central site is Waterford Oaks County Park activity center, 2800 Watkins Lake Road in Waterford. Registered voters in the Clarkston, Lake Angelus, Independence Township Precinct 1, and Waterford Township Precinct 10 may only vote at the Central Site.<\/p>\n<p>Regional sites:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0 Berkley, Huntington Woods, Oak Park, Pleasant Ridge.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0 Oak Park Community Center, 14300 Oak Park Blvd. in Oak Park.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0 Ferndale and Hazel Park: Hazel Park Community Center, 620 W. Woodward Heights Blvd. in Hazel Park.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0 Madison Heights, Royal Oak: Leo Mahany\/Harold Meininger Royal Oak Senior Center 3500 Marais Ave. in Royal Oak.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0 Lathrup Village and Southfield: Southfield Pavilion, 26000 Evergreen Road in Southfield.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0 Farmington and Farmington Hills: Costick Community Center, 28600 W. Eleven Mile Road in Farmington Hills.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0 Northville and Novi: Novi Civic Center, 45175 W. Ten Mile Road in Novi.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0 Lyon and Milford townships: Lyon Township Hall, 58000 Grand River Ave. New Hudson.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0 Walled Lake and Wixom: Commerce Township Community Library, 180 E. Commerce St. in Commerce.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0 West Bloomfield Township, Keego Harbor, Orchard Lake and Sylvan Lake: West Bloomfield Township Public Library, 4600 Walnut Lake Road in West Bloomfield.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0 Bloomfield Township and Birmingham: Bloomfield Township Public Library, 1099 Lone Pine Road in Bloomfield Hills.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0 Clawson and Troy: Troy Community Center, use the east entrance, 3179 Livernois Road in Troy.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0 Pontiac: Pontiac Public Library, 60 E. Pike St., Pontiac.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0 Oakland Township and Rochester Hills: Rochester Hills Public Library, 500 Olde Towne Road in Rochester.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0 Addison, Orion and Oxford townships: Municipal building, 2323 Joslyn Road in Lake Orion.<\/p>\n<p>These communities are hosting individual early voting sessions:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0 Auburn Hills: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3, Saturday, Nov. 1 and Sunday, Nov. 2 at the Public Safety Building, 1899 N. Squirrel Road Auburn Hills. The clerk\u2019s office will be open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, to accept absentee ballots at the clerk\u2019s office in City Hall, 1827 N. Squirrel Road.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomfieldhillsmi.net\/223\/Voting\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Bloomfield Hills<\/a>: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29 through Sunday, Nov. 2 at City Hall, 45 E. Long Lake Road.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0 Rochester: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. from Saturday, Oct. 25 to Wednesday, Oct. 29; noon to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 30; and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31, though Sunday, Nov. 2, at the municipal building, 400 Sixth St.<\/p>\n<p>Election Day hours for in-person voting are 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 4. Anyone in line at the polls by 8 p.m. will be allowed to cast a ballot. Visit your local clerk\u2019s office for same-day voter registration. People can also pick up an absentee ballot at their local clerk\u2019s office on election day. Absentee ballots must be turned in by 8 p.m. Nov. 4.
