Throwing Muses<\/a> finally returned to the Northern California over the weekend, performing shows in San Francisco, Santa Cruz and Sacramento.<\/p>\n

It marked the first time the influential alt-rock group, led by iconic singer-songwriter-guitarist Kristin Hersh<\/a>, performed in this area since a 2014 Noise Pop Festival date at the Jewish Community Center of San Francisco.<\/p>\n

The group \u2014 which, in its touring format, also features Fred Abong on drums, Hersh\u2019s son Dylan on bass and \u201cCello\u201d Pete Harvey \u2014 performed April 17 at The Chapel in San Francisco, April 18 at Moe\u2019s Alley in Santa Cruz and April 19 at Harlow\u2019s in Sacramento.<\/p>\n

Throwing Muses<\/a> are out on the road in support of their acclaimed new release, \u201cMoonlight Concessions,\u201d which was truly one of the best records of 2025.<\/p>\n
