A pair of goals from Troy Terry<\/a> in the second period has helped the Anaheim Ducks<\/a> to a 3-2 advantage over the Edmonton Oilers<\/a> after 40 minutes in Game 1.<\/p>\n

The Oilers led 2-0 after the first period thanks to a pair of late goals a minute apart by Jason Dickinson<\/a> and Kasperi Kapanen<\/a>, but the Ducks answered immediately to begin the second frame.<\/p>\n

On the team\u2019s second shot of the period, Terry was able to beat Oilers goalie Connor Ingram<\/a> for the team\u2019s first goal in the period and series.<\/p>\n

Just over four minutes later, it would be Leo Carlsson getting in the goal column as well, with Terry and forward Chris Kreider<\/a> factoring in on the game-tying goal.<\/p>\n

Finally, towards the end of the period, Terry bagged his second of the night with a wrist shot from the top of the circle to give the Ducks the lead heading into the third.<\/p>\n

Anaheim netminder Lukas Dostal<\/a> kept the Ducks in the game early, shutting the door on multiple Oilers chances.<\/p>\n

The Ducks\u2019 only quality chance came midway through the period, when defenceman John Carlson<\/a> set up Carlsson<\/a> for a one-timer, before it turned into a Connor McDavid<\/a> partial breakaway. But once again, Dostal made another save.<\/p>\n

The Czech goalie couldn\u2019t quite hold up to finish the period, however, as Dickinson and then Kapanen, a minute later, broke through. <\/p>\n

This game also marks the first in 14 games for forward Leon Draisaitl<\/a>, who made his return from a knee injury.<\/p>\n

The German star was activated from the long-term injured list before the game after skating with the team over the past week.<\/p>\n
