Upon returning from their four-game road trip, the San Jose Sharks are now dealing with a myriad of injuries. <\/p>\n
On a positive note, John Klingberg will return to the lineup for the Sharks on Tuesday. The defenseman had been dealing with a lower-body injury unrelated to his hips.<\/p>\n
\u201cNot the hips. Just day to day. It\u2019s good enough now to feel like I can be out there and be comfortable,\u201d Klingberg said. \u201cIt happened in the Carolina game.\u201d<\/p>\n
Klingberd didn\u2019t reveal any more specifics about his injury, other than that it was a lower-body injury unrelated to his hips. The Sharks will monitor his hips throughout the season, given the multiple long-term injuries<\/a> he\u2019s sustained to them during his career.<\/p>\n Advertisement. Scroll to continue reading.<\/p>\n Another positive is San Jose Sharks defenseman Shakir Mukhamadullin<\/a> participating in the morning skate. Mukhamadullin has only played one game this season, opening night, before being a healthy scratch. The Sharks defenseman suffered an upper-body injury during practice and didn\u2019t travel with the team.<\/p>\n \u201cHe\u2019s getting pretty close,\u201d Sharks coach Ryan Warsofsky said. \u201cI\u2019d say he is day-to-day. He skated today, [and] he\u2019ll practice tomorrow, and we will see where he\u2019s at.\u201d<\/p>\n Gaudette & Leddy suffer injuries during Sharks\u2019 road trip<\/p>\n Veterans Nick Leddy<\/a> and Adam Gaudette sustained injuries during the San Jose Sharks road trip. <\/p>\n Leddy got hurt during the Sharks\u2019 6-5 overtime victory over the New York Rangers<\/a>. Rangers forward Will Cuylle caught the Sharks\u2019 d-man up high with a hit in the first period. <\/p>\n Advertisement. Patrick Giles was recalled from the San Jose Barracuda, but won\u2019t play in Tuesday night\u2019s game. Leddy was able to jump on the ice for a brief period immediately after the morning skate.<\/p>\n \u201cWe don\u2019t think it\u2019s gonna be very long,\u201d Warsofsky said about Leddy. \u201cI would say I put him in that day-to-day category.\u201d<\/p>\n As for Gaudette, the news isn\u2019t as encouraging.<\/p>\n \u201cHe might be a little bit longer [than Leddy],\u201d Warsofsky said. \u201cHe\u2019s still being evaluated [for an] upper body [injury]. I think we will have a better timeline tomorrow.\u201d<\/p>\n Advertisement.
