FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) \u2014 A Fresno man was arrested in Las Vegas after police realized he had an active warrant in California on Sunday.<\/p>\n
The incident occurred on March 19th when police responded to a shooting in the area of Samson and Martin Luther King Jr.<\/p>\n
When they arrived, they found Perry Paul Espinosa suffering from a gunshot wound. <\/p>\n
Despite lifesaving efforts, Espinosa was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n
Homicide detectives identified 40-year-old Michael Dorsey of Fresno as the suspect in the killing.<\/p>\n
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department officers contacted Dorsey during an unrelated disturbance call and discovered he had an active California murder warrant. <\/p>\n
Dorsey was taken into custody and booked into the Clark County Detention Center, where he is awaiting an extradition hearing.<\/p>\n
