LAS VEGAS – San Jos\u00e9 State junior standout Duru Durgun<\/a> has been named to the 2026 Women’s Tennis All-Mountain West Singles Team, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

This prestigious honor marks the second consecutive year Durgun has earned a spot on the All-Mountain West Singles team, further cementing her status as one of the premier competitors in the conference.<\/p>\n

Season Highlights<\/p>\n

Durgun was a force at the top of the lineup for the Spartans throughout the 2026 campaign. Her season was defined by consistency and elite performance against top-tier programs:<\/p>\n

Total Victories: Tallied 14 singles wins on the season.
\nTop Flight Success: Secured nine victories playing in the No. 1 position.
\nSignature Wins: Earned pivotal points for the Spartans with victories over opponents from Arizona, Colorado, BYU, Saint Mary’s, Santa Clara, Air Force, New Mexico, and Colorado State.<\/p>\n

The Spartans head into postseason play on Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. from the Darling Tennis Center in Las Vegas. SJSU enters the Mountain West Tournament as the No. 11 seed and is set to square off against the No. 6-seeded Utah State.<\/p>\n
