Construction is in progress for a third supportive housing complex near the intersection<\/a> of 6th and San Pedro Streets in Downtown Los Angeles.<\/a><\/p>\n

Built on land owned by the Weingart Center at 554 S. San Pedro Street, the new 12-story building is being developed by Related California<\/a>. Plans call for a total of 104 apartments – 103 of which would be affordable housing at the very low-income level<\/a> – above parking for two vehicles.<\/p>\n

Large Architecture\u00a0<\/a>is designing the contemporary mid-rise structure, which will include a rooftop amenity deck for use by residents, with a lobby and additional amenity space to be located on the ground floor.<\/p>\n

The project follows the construction of two high-rise supportive housing developments recently completed on adjacent sites, including a 19-story tower which opened next door at 555 S. Crocker Street in 2023<\/a> and a 17-story tower which opened last year across 6th Street<\/a>. Those two buildings, which feature a combined total of nearly 600 homes, are the largest supportive housing developments in Los Angeles.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere in Downtown, Related is also in the midst of construction on the Alveare apartments at 1405 S. Broadway<\/a>.<\/p>\n
