The minivan struck a 1-year-old who had been walking through the parking lot.<\/p>\n<p>The toddler was taken to a hospital in critical condition, where they were pronounced deceased, authorities added.<\/p>\n<p>The victim was identified as Olivier Carmelo Sgarlata, a 1-year-old resident of San Jose, according to the Santa Clara County Coroner\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n<p>Police did not provide further details on how Sgarlata was hit.<\/p>\n<p>The minivan driver was cooperative with authorities and remained at the scene, police said.
