Walmart plans to remodel multiple stores in Los Angeles, Orange and Riverside counties this year as part of a broader effort to upgrade dozens of locations statewide, the company announced Wednesday.<\/p>\n
The retailer said it will remodel 56 stores across California, with improvements focused on store layouts, technology and expanded services aimed at creating a faster and more convenient shopping experience.<\/p>\n
In Los Angeles County, stores slated for upgrades are:<\/p>\n
Baldwin Park, 3250 Big Dalton Ave.<\/p>\n
Panorama City, 8333 Van Nuys Blvd.<\/p>\n
Stevenson Ranch, 25450 The Old Rd.<\/p>\n
In Orange County, one location is scheduled for remodeling:<\/p>\n
Irvine, 16555 Von Karman Ave.<\/p>\n
In Riverside County, <\/p>\n
Corona, 1560 W. 6th St.<\/p>\n
Hemet, 1231 S. Sanderson Ave.<\/p>\n
Riverside, 5200 Van Buren Blvd.<\/p>\n
Riverside, 6250 Valley Springs Pkwy.<\/p>\n
Company officials said upgrades will include enhancements to both in- store and online shopping, including expanded delivery options and updated mobile app features designed to help customers navigate stores and access services more easily.<\/p>\n
“We’re continuing to invest in California with a focus on how we can better serve communities across the state,” Jay Cordray, senior vice president of Walmart’s West business unit, said in a statement. “By modernizing our
stores, we’re making everyday shopping more convenient and creating a more connected experience, while empowering our associates to better support the evolving needs of our customers.”<\/p>\n
The remodeled stores are also expected to feature updated pharmacies, vision centers and expanded product selections, along with redesigned spaces intended to improve customer flow and accessibility.<\/p>\n
Walmart said the projects are part of a larger investment strategy that has included more than $1.1 billion in store upgrades across California over the past five years.<\/p>\n
