Bakersfield man arrested in Indiana after police seize nearly 400 pounds of cocaine<\/p>\n

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) \u2014 A Bakersfield man was arrested Tuesday in Indiana after police allegedly found nearly 400 pounds of suspected cocaine in his commercial tractor, according to the Indiana State Police.<\/p>\n

An Indiana State Police trooper conducted a traffic stop on a commercial motor vehicle speeding on I-70 near Cloverdale in Putnam County Tuesday morning, officials said.<\/p>\n

The trooper found \u201cmultiple criminal indicators\u201d suggesting the driver \u2014 identified as Harmandeep Singh, 27, of Bakersfield \u2014 was operating below industry standards, according to Indiana State Police.<\/p>\n

The trooper reportedly got consent to search the tractor and trailer and found several duffle bags and cardboard boxes containing about 392 pounds of suspected cocaine.<\/p>\n

The estimated street value of the seized narcotics is about $9 million, officials said.<\/p>\n

Singh was booked into the Putnam County Jail on suspicion of narcotics-related charges.<\/p>\n
