The free event is open to the public and will spotlight emerging student artists from across the region.<\/p>\n<p>By Rena Kurlander<\/p>\n<p>Located at 6040 N. Figueroa Street, the bookshop, known for its curated selection of new and used titles spanning all genres and age groups, serves as a collaborative venture between independent publishers Unnamed Press and Rare Bird. The store emphasizes access to literature and champions the belief that reading is a fundamental human right.<\/p>\n<p>The reception will feature artwork from students representing several Southern California high schools, including Pasadena High School, Milikan High School, Van Nuys High School, Alhambra High School, South Pasadena High School, Mira Costa High School, and Claremont High School. The exhibition aims to uplift young creative voices and provide a platform for student expression.<\/p>\n<p>Guests attending the event can enjoy complimentary food and beverages while exploring the artwork on display. Parking is available in a lot directly behind the shop, as well as on nearby streets.
