{"id":280952,"date":"2026-04-22T22:19:49","date_gmt":"2026-04-22T22:19:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/280952\/"},"modified":"2026-04-22T22:19:49","modified_gmt":"2026-04-22T22:19:49","slug":"man-sentenced-to-prison-for-shooting-at-fresno-cops","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/280952\/","title":{"rendered":"Man Sentenced To Prison for Shooting at Fresno Cops"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>FRESNO, CA (KMJ)\u00a0 Bradley Nicholson was sentenced to 28 years to life in prison on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>The 41-year old pleaded no contest to attempted murder of a police officer and assault on a peace officer after opening fire on two Fresno Police officers in December of 2025.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">Prosecutors say the officers approached Nicholson in an alley in west Fresno because he was acting suspicious and a scuffle ensued.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s when shots were fired and Nicholson barricaded himself in a carport.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">Nicholson, who has a long history of criminal activity, eventually surrendered after suffering a bullet graze wound to his face.<\/p>\n<p class=\"EkqkG IGXmU nlgHS yuUao lqtkC TjIXL aGjvy \">The officers were not hurt, but one of the bullets went through the top of an officer\u2019s ball cap.<\/p>\n<p>Nicholson has prior convictions for auto theft, burglary, drug possession and identity theft.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"FRESNO, CA (KMJ)\u00a0 Bradley Nicholson was sentenced to 28 years to life in prison on Thursday.
