Community members are invited to join local organizations\u00a0this Saturday, April 25, for the\u00a0NAMIWalks\u00a0San Diego, a free annual event supporting\u00a0mental health\u00a0awareness and wellness.<\/p>\n
Hosted by the National Alliance on Mental Illness in partnership with County Behavioral Health Services, the event kicks off Mental Health Matters Month, observed every May.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Nadia Privara Brahms, director of County Behavioral Health Services, said the walk highlights the community\u2019s share commitment to mental wellness.<\/p>\n
\u201cBy learning practical tools for coping, staying connected\u00a0and knowing what resources are available, we can strengthen support for ourselves and for those around us who may be struggling.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\nActivities & Resources:\u00a0\u00a0Until 11 a.m., including family-friendly activities, military and veterans resources, and a stigma-free photo booth and information station. \u00a0<\/p>\n
Participants can connect to mental health resources, learn practical wellness\u00a0tools\u00a0and show\u00a0support for the one in five people living with a mental health condition.<\/p>\n
