A boy was struck and killed by a car in San Jose parking lot, police said Wednesday.<\/p>\n
On Tuesday just before 4:30 p.m., officers arrived in the 2100 block of Canoas Garden after receiving a report of a pedestrian being struck by a car.<\/p>\n
According to police, a Toyota minivan being driven by a man was going northbound in the driveway of an apartment complex when his vehicle struck a young juvenile boy who was walking in the parking area. The boy was taken to the hospital, where he died.<\/p>\n
The driver remained at the scene and has cooperated with police, who do not believe that alcohol or drugs contributed to the collision.<\/p>\n
