The defensive midfielder made an errant pass across the middle of the field that led to a breakaway for Joseph Morales, who beat Daniel 1-on-1.<\/p>\n<p>It was only the fourth goal allowed by the Quakes, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mercurynews.com\/2026\/04\/19\/mls-soccer-quakes-tied-for-first-place-after-boudas-goals-key-stunning-4-1-rout-over-lafc\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">tied for the fewest in the league<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Despite dominating possession \u2013 the Quakes finished with a 37-6 edge in shots \u2013 the Black and Blue weren\u2019t able to equalize until Jasinski\u2019s towering header off a corner kick from Niko Tsakiris in the 57th\u00a0minute.<\/p>\n<p>Jasinski, the team\u2019s second-round pick in the 2026 MLS SuperDraft from Princeton, had played just 14 MLS minutes entering Wednesday but had scored last week in the team\u2019s U.S. Open Cup win over Phoenix Rising. He became the ninth San Jose player to score in league play.<\/p>\n<p>The Quakes took the lead 20 minutes later after Jamar Ricketts was brought down in the box. Werner sent keeper Brad Stuver the wrong way from the penalty spot to score his second goal since arriving from Germany at the start of the season.<\/p>\n<p>The Quakes will look to extend their club-record four-game road winning streak on Saturday against St. Louis CITY SC (1-4-3, 6 points).
