San Diego is home to one of the smoggiest regions in the United States.<\/p>\n
The American Lung Association reports the San Diego-Chula Vista-Carlsbad areas are the seventh smoggiest in the country.<\/p>\n
The Lung Association blames it on the polluted Tijuana River, topography, wild fires and a cuts in government funding.<\/p>\n
“So there are options out there for different preventative measures, investments that would help fire crews do their job of doing a fuel reduction,” says Will Barrett with the Lung Association, who tells KOGO news, not enough is being done.<\/p>\n
