OAKLAND, CA \u2014 Four suspects were taken into custody in connection with a recent carjacking and robbery spree in East Oakland, police said. <\/p>\n
Police say the suspects committed several armed robberies, at least one carjacking and pistol-whipped someone between 9:45 p.m. on Sunday and 12:15 a.m. Monday. <\/p>\n
Officers responded to the carjacking just after midnight on Monday and tried pulling the suspects over, police said. <\/p>\n
But they refused to stop and kept driving until police located them again in the area of Kingsland Place and Morcom Avenue, police said. <\/p>\n
That’s when the suspects bailed from the car and tried running away, but officers quickly caught up to them, police said. <\/p>\n
During the arrest, officers found the minors had two loaded, unregistered firearms. that had been converted into fully automatic weapons, police said. <\/p>\n
The suspects were arrested, although police did not say what they were booked on suspicion of. <\/p>\n
They were also not publicly identified because of their age.
