ROCHESTER, Mich. – The Golden Grizzlies return to conference action as they head to Green Bay for their next series, looking to cement their spot in the postseason in what has been a successful 2026 campaign thus far.<\/p>\n
Oakland has had a week-long break from action after securing a 2-1 series win over Detroit Mercy last weekend. The Golden Grizzlies have dominated both sides of the field in conference play, both as a team and individually. They hold the best ERA (3.63) in conference play, along with the fourth-best overall batting average (.309). Maggie Murphy<\/a> continues to be a force at the plate, batting .517 with a 1.566 OPS, both ranking second among all hitters in conference play. Addison Caldwell<\/a> (.441) also sits in the top 10 in batting average in the conference, as the two anchor the Golden Grizzlies’ lineup.<\/p>\n In the circle, Oakland boasts the best one-two combination in the league as well. Kama Skrek<\/a> (2.50 ERA) and Kenna Bommarito<\/a> (3.50 ERA) form a dominant duo. Skrek has the lowest ERA, fewest runs allowed (12), and the second-lowest opposing batting average (.245) in conference play, while Bommarito leads the conference in innings pitched (46.0) and strikeouts (48) against league opponents.<\/p>\n The Golden Grizzlies travel to Green Bay to take on the Phoenix (12-28, 6-9 HL). Green Bay sits second-to-last in the conference, having lost five of its last six games. In its most recent action, the Phoenix dropped both games of a doubleheader to St. Thomas on Apr. 20.<\/p>\n Green Bay relies heavily on its offense, ranking third in the conference in batting average (.313), while also tallying the third-most home runs (31) and the second-most doubles (75).
