RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif.\u2014Kleopatra Kozakiewicz<\/a> made the biggest leap up the leaderboard on Thursday to help the San Jos\u00e9 State women\u2019s golf team finish second at the 2026 Credit Union 1 Mountain West Women\u2019s Golf Championship at the Mission Hills Country Club.<\/p>\n

Kozakiewicz shot a 3-under 69 in the final round, jumping up 16 spots, to finish tied for eighth at 3-over 219. Her only blemish on her scorecard with a bogey on the par-4 third hole. Otherwise, she made four birdies and 13 pars during her round, shooting 35-34.
\nShe finished tied for second in the field in fewest bogeys made with five and tied for fifth in pars made at 38 over her 54 holes played.\u00a0
\nFour Spartans finished in the top 20 at the championship. Kozakiewicz and Regina Roldan<\/a> tied for eighth at 3-over 219. Roldan finished the tournament with an even-par 72, making two birdies, 14 pars and two bogeys. She birdied her final hole to shoot a 34 on the back nine.
\nLotte Schuhr<\/a> finished 13th at 5-over 221, shooting a 75 in the final round. She made three birdies on Thursday and finished with four consecutive pars made.
\nTessa Kremser<\/a> tied for 17th at 7-over 223, shooting a 76 in the final round, finishing her final six holes with a birdie and five pars.
\nMoa Andersson<\/a> finished tied for 28th at 11-over 227. She made an eagle in the final round on the par-5, 501-yard ninth hole as she shot a 3-over 75. Andersson was one of five players in the field to make an eagle over the three rounds.
\nSan Jos\u00e9 State finished second in the tournament, two shots behind champion UNLV. The Spartans shot a 291 in the final round to finish at 16-over par.
\nThe team led the field in par-4 scoring at +21 and fewest bogeys made at 44.<\/p>\n
