A woman is in jail after allegedly trying to kidnap an 8-year-old on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Officers arrived just after 4:30 p.m. at the 1400 block of W. Andrews Ave. regarding a woman who attempted to take a child; Tyiesha Davis was arrested.<\/p>\n

Police said Davis grabbed the juvenile and forcefully pulled their hair while forcing them into the vehicle.<\/p>\n

The 8-year-old got away, ran to a nearby home and pounded on the front door until someone opened it.<\/p>\n

Davis remains booked at Fresno County jail on charges of kidnapping, false imprisonment, and child endangerment.<\/p>\n

Jail records show her bail is set at $85,000.<\/p>\n

Earlier on Wednesday, man was arrested after good Samartians were able to stop<\/a> a vehicle from driving away in a stolen vehicle with two children inside.<\/p>\n

Police said the incidents are unrelated.<\/p>\n
