{"id":283292,"date":"2026-04-24T05:22:24","date_gmt":"2026-04-24T05:22:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/283292\/"},"modified":"2026-04-24T05:22:24","modified_gmt":"2026-04-24T05:22:24","slug":"sakura-chaya-in-northeast-fresno","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/283292\/","title":{"rendered":"Sakura Chaya in northeast Fresno"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Our fireside chat took place at Sakura Chaya on Nees near First in northeast Fresno.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Chef John Tran carefully crafts his teppanyaki.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Bacon fried rice comes with vegetables and a volcano, along with your choice of steak, chicken, shrimp, or even lobster if you like.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Chef John puts on a show.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">&#8220;I talk to all my customers, I can talk to anyone,&#8221; he said. &#8220;It&#8217;s just somehow the camera in front is a whole different story.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The hot and spicy chicken speaks for itself.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">&#8220;There were a lot of teppanyaki restaurants when we first started,&#8221; says General Manager David Wong. &#8220;We just wanted to take it to the next level with more variety. Just kind of mix it up a little bit.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Sushi Chef Koji Ogawa began precisely slicing fish more than 30 years ago in Japan.
