Tehachapi City Council recognizes Dispatcher of the Year<\/p>\n

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) \u2014 The Tehachapi City Council awarded the city\u2019s Dispatcher of the Year during its regular meeting Monday.<\/p>\n

Jesica Fager-Monheim was selected as the Dispatcher of the Year based on recommendation and support from her supervisors and peers in the department, according to Tehachapi Chief of Police Richard Standridge.<\/p>\n

She was hired in June 2016 as one of the six original dispatchers \u2014 of which only two remain \u2014 when the Tehachapi Police Department opened its communications center.<\/p>\n

Standridge said Fager-Monheim helps keep the communications center running as one of its senior dispatchers.<\/p>\n

He thanked Fager-Monheim for her professionalism, saying she is a blessing to the younger hires with her institutional knowledge within the department.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf I was out in the streets in a situation, this is who I would want on the line,\u201d said Standridge at the meeting.<\/p>\n
