The PFL is headed to San Diego for the first time in promotion history.<\/p>\n
PFL San Diego will take place June 27 at Pechanga Arena and be headlined by a featherweight bout between A.J. McKee and Salamat Isbulaev, the promotion announced Thursday. No other fights have yet been revealed for the card.<\/p>\n
The PFL featherweight division does not currently have a champion. PFL CEO John Martin said in a video Thursday the bout between McKee (24-2) and Isbulaev (10-0) will have title implications.<\/p>\n
California’s McKee competes in his home state once again. He enters the bout on a two-fight winning streak, comprised of unanimous decision victories over Akhmed Magomedov and Adam Borics.<\/p>\n
Kazakhstan’s Isbulaev made his promotional debut in February when he promptly smashed perennial top contender Jesus Pinedo for a first-round TKO stoppage. Isbulaev has a 100 percent finishing rate with six knockouts and four submissions.<\/p>\n
