Members of the Rancho Santa Fe Rotary Club and Girl Scouts rolled up their sleeves for a day of service on April 11, picking oranges to support the San Diego Food Bank.<\/p>\n

The volunteer effort brought together Rotarians and community members to help provide nutritious, locally grown fruit to families facing food insecurity across San Diego County.<\/p>\n

Working under sunny skies, the group harvested hundreds of pounds of oranges destined for distribution through the Food Banks\u2019 network of partner agencies, a news release stated.<\/p>\n

RSF Rotary Club representatives said the event reflects Rotary\u2019s ongoing commitment to community service and fighting hunger at the local level. The freshly picked oranges will offer both nourishment and a reminder of the community\u2019s generosity to individuals and families in need.<\/p>\n
