\u201cThis is about preparing Long Beach Airport for the future while enhancing the experience,\u201d Airport Director Cynthia Guidry said.<\/p>\n
$24 million of the project’s $37 million cost is being funded by a Federal Aviation Administration grant, while the remainder is expected to be covered by airport revenue, with no local tax dollars utilized, airport officials said.<\/p>\n
The project\u2019s completion is expected in the summer of 2027.
