{"id":285669,"date":"2026-04-25T15:40:10","date_gmt":"2026-04-25T15:40:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/285669\/"},"modified":"2026-04-25T15:40:10","modified_gmt":"2026-04-25T15:40:10","slug":"wildfire-safety-fair-offers-home-hardening-workshops-and-expert-resources","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/285669\/","title":{"rendered":"Wildfire Safety Fair offers home hardening workshops and expert resources"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Senator Ben Allen and Traci Park to address wildfire recovery at Brentwood safety event.<\/p>\n<p>Residents living in high-risk fire zones can access specialized training and direct expert consultations at the Wildfire Education and Resource Fair this Saturday in Brentwood.<\/p>\n<p>The free community event, scheduled for April 25 from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., will be held at St. Martin of Tours School at 11955 Sunset Blvd. Organized by <a href=\"https:\/\/mysafela.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">MySafe: LA<\/a>, the fair aims to provide homeowners with practical strategies to bolster property resilience against future blazes.<\/p>\n<p>State Senator Ben Allen and City Council Member Traci Park are slated to provide legislative updates on wildfire recovery and regional resilience efforts. The program features 25 exhibitors alongside dedicated classroom workshops focused on home hardening techniques, evacuation preparedness, and the process for becoming a recognized Firewise site.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to technical training, the fair offers community engagement through a local quartet performance from Paul Revere Charter Middle School. Attendees will receive a complimentary lunch and dessert, and have the opportunity to win various fire-safety prizes. A limited number of free NOAA emergency alert radios will be distributed while supplies last.<\/p>\n<p>The resource fair is a collaborative effort involving the offices of Senator Allen, County Supervisor Lindsay Horvath, and Council Member Park, as well as the Brentwood Homeowners Association and the Los Angeles City Fire Department.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Senator Ben Allen and Traci Park to address wildfire recovery at Brentwood safety event.
