THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF BLACK JOURNALISTS HOSTED THE TOWN HALL TODAY AT AGGIE SQUARE. IT\u2019S PART OF THE NABJ REGIONAL CONFERENCE BEING HELD IN SACRAMENTO THIS WEEK, AND CURRENT SACRAMENTO COUNTY SHERIFF JIM COOPER, ALONG WITH FORMER SACRAMENTO POLICE CHIEF DANIEL HAHN AND FORMER SEATTLE POLICE CHIEF CARMEN BEST, TALKED WITH THE AUDIENCE ABOUT THE CHALLENGES, OPPORTUNITIES AND MISUNDERSTANDINGS THAT CAN COME UP BETWEEN POLICE AND JOURNALISTS, THE MEDIA AND LAW ENFORCEMENT WORK TOGETHER SO MUCH ABOUT TRANSPARENCY, HOW WE CAN WORK BETTER AND HOW TO BUILD RELATIONSHIPS.
