Homicide detectives are investigating the fatal shootings of three adults in Baldwin Park<\/a> last week \u2014 two of whom were a married couple, officials said, who were being mourned by their college-age children.<\/p>\n

Around 5 a.m. Friday, Los Angeles County sheriff\u2019s deputies responded to the 3200 block of Millbury Avenue in the city of Baldwin Park regarding a report of gunshots. <\/p>\n

When officers arrived at the scene, they found three adults \u2014 two men and a woman \u2014 suffering from gunshot wounds, according to the Sheriff\u2019s Department<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Deputies rendered medical aid; however, one man and the woman succumbed to their injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene. <\/p>\n

The second man was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.<\/p>\n

The county medical examiner\u2019s office said the woman, 56-year-old Bich Lu<\/a>, died of a gunshot wound to the head in front of her residence, and 60-year-old Thuan Chung<\/a> died at a hospital from multiple gunshot wounds.<\/p>\n

The third individual has yet to be identified by the medical examiner\u2019s office. <\/p>\n

In a GoFundMe account<\/a> shared with The Times by the fundraiser\u2019s communications manager, Alex White, the son of the deceased couple, Phillip Chung, said he and his sister, Helen, are facing an \u201cunimaginable tragedy\u201d after losing both their parents \u201cin a devastating act of violence.\u201d <\/p>\n

The family told White they would not speak with reporters at this time.<\/p>\n

Phillip Chung described his parents as devoted, hardworking people who dedicated their lives to their children. <\/p>\n

\u201cAbove all, they were loving parents who provided unwavering support, guidance, and encouragement,\u201d Phillip said in the post. \u201cTheir sudden loss has left an irreplaceable void.\u201d<\/p>\n

The fundraiser was created to help the siblings, 21-year-old Phillip and 18-year-old Helen, with funeral and memorial expenses as well as Helen\u2019s college tuition. <\/p>\n

Helen is slated to attend UC Irvine, \u201cholding tightly to the dreams her parents always encouraged her to pursue,\u201d according to the account.
