In 1913, legendary director Cecil B. DeMille and producer Jesse L. Lasky rented it to set up a studio where they could make their first feature film, a silent western called <a rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=gYKHOPJiPmY\" type=\"link\" id=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=gYKHOPJiPmY\">The Squaw Man<\/a>. The turn-of-the cen- tury relic had been moved to Paramount\u2019s Western backlot, where it fit right in. You can tell he worked out with weights. The original site on Vine now houses one of those anonymous five-over-one apartments and what\u2019s on the ground floor?
