Country in the Park is set to take over Cal Expo on May 8-9

MOUNTAIN SHOWERS. ALL RIGHT. IT’S ALMOST THAT TIME OF YEAR FOR COUNTRY IN THE PARK. CAN SEE THE BIG WEEKEND. AND THERE WILL BE THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE AT CAL EXPO IN SACRAMENTO AND LOTS OF BIG ARTISTS. AND WE’RE TALKING MIRANDA LAMBERT AND JON PARDI, OUR LOCAL COUNTRY SUPERSTAR. THAT’S COMING UP MAY 8TH AND NINTH, JUST A LITTLE OVER A WEEK AND A HALF AWAY. AND WE’VE GOT ONE 05.1 KODY ROBINSON HERE. AND OF COURSE, WE PUT OUR BOOTS ON FOR THIS. WE GOT OUR BOOTS ON. WE ARE READY TO GO FOR COUNTRY IN THE PARK. THIS IS A BIG YEAR TO HAVE NOT ONLY JON PARDI BUT MIRANDA LAMBERT. NO, I’M REALLY, REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS YEAR AGAIN. IT’S NEXT WEEKEND, MAY 8TH AND NINTH FRIDAY NIGHT, WHICH IS WITH JON PARDI, WHO’S LOCAL. YOU KNOW, HE’S FROM DIXON. IT’S ALMOST SOLD OUT. I’M NOT JUST SAYING THAT TO SELL TICKETS LIKE YOU WANT TO GET YOUR TICKET RIGHT NOW, OR AT LEAST BY THIS WEEKEND, SO YOU DON’T MISS OUT ON ALL THE FUN. SATURDAY NIGHT IS OBVIOUSLY SELLING VERY WELL WITH MIRANDA LAMBERT. WE’RE SO EXCITED TO SEE HER. I SAW KAMERON MARLOWE ON STAGE AT STAGECOACH. I WAS WATCHING THE LIVE STREAM AT HOME AND I WAS LIKE, HE’S PERFORMING SATURDAY NIGHT AS WELL. AND I WAS LIKE, I DIDN’T REALIZE HOW GOOD HE IS. SO I’M JUST SO EXCITED. I’M STILL LEARNING SO MUCH MORE ABOUT ALL THE ARTISTS THAT ARE GOING TO BE OUT THERE. TEN TOTAL AGAIN NEXT WEEK, MAY 8TH AND NINTH. SO YOU GET TEN ARTISTS. SO I MEAN, IF YOU DIDN’T MAKE IT TO STAGECOACH, NO PROBLEM, BECAUSE THIS IS BASICALLY SACRAMENTO STAGECOACH ABSOLUTELY IS, BUT BETTER AND A LOT CHEAPER BECAUSE GENERAL ADMISSION TICKETS ARE ABOUT HOW MUCH THEY’RE UNDER $75 FOR GENERAL ADMISSION. SO I FEEL LIKE THAT’S VERY AFFORDABLE IN TODAY’S ECONOMY. YEAH, THAT’S LIKE $7 AN ACT. I MEAN, YOU CAN BARELY GET A LATTE FOR THAT ANYMORE. ISN’T THAT THE TRUTH? WHICH IS WHY YOU NEED TO COME OUT TO COUNTRY IN THE PARK. WE WANT TO SEE EVERYONE THERE, WHICH IS WHY WE MAKE THEM AFFORDABLE. WE TAKE PRIDE IN THAT. SO YOU CAN GET YOUR TICKETS RIGHT NOW. FEST. WHAT’S LEFT AGAIN? I’M NOT KIDDING. THEY ARE SELLING WELL, SO YOU MIGHT WANT TO GET YOURS SOONER THAN LATER. AND YOU’VE SOLD OUT MANY YEARS BEFORE. THIS IS THE BIG ONE BECAUSE YOU USUALLY HAVE TWO. YOU HAVE KIND OF A MINI ONE IN THE FALL. AND THIS IS THE BIG COUNTRY IN THE PARK IN MAY. YEP. THIS IS OUR BIG TWO DAY FESTIVAL. THIS IS THE BIG ONE. A LOT MORE THAN JUST MUSIC TOO. YEAH, YEAH. AND THIS IS ACTUALLY GOING TO BE OUR BIGGEST YEAR YET WITH IN TERMS OF AUDIENCE AND HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE GOING TO BE OUT THERE. SO IF YOU WANT TO BE PART OF THAT FUN, YOU WANT TO BE WATCHING IT ON INSTAGRAM AND THINKING TO YOURSELF, I MISSED OUT, OKAY, THIS IS SACRAMENTO’S PREMIER COUNTRY MUSIC FESTIVAL AND WE WANT TO SEE THERE. SO IN ADDITION TO LIKE FOOD TRUCKS, WHAT KIND OF THINGS WILL YOU HAVE THERE AT THE FESTIVAL? THERE’S ALWAYS A TON OF ACTIVITIES. WE HAVE CORNHOLE, WE HAVE ROCK CLIMBING. WE HAVE AX THROWING. THERE IS A BUNCH OF FESTIVITIES AS WELL. AND HONESTLY, JUST IT’S A WHOLE FESTIVAL GROUND. WE HAVE BOUTIQUES OUT THERE TOO. IT’S FUN JUST TO WALK AROUND AND ALSO THEN EXPERIENCE THE COUNTRY. I WAS GOING TO SAY I GOT A REALLY CUTE HAT AT ONE OF THE BOUTIQUES LAST YEAR. THERE’S REALLY GOOD SHOPPING THAT YOU CAN. ABSOLUTELY, YES. SO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THAT TOO. GATES OPEN AT ONE BOTH DAYS. ALL RIGHT. CODY ROBINSON FROM KNCI10 5.1. OUR RADIO PARTNERS. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR BEING HERE. AND AGAIN COUNTRY PARKS COMING UP MAY 8TH AND NINTH AT CAL EXPO AT THE OLD RACETRACK. THERE AGAIN, JON PARDI AND MIRA
