During the hearing, the judge asked the interpreter whether Escudero-Mendoza would be able to communicate with cuffs on. While the interpreter was answering, Escudero-Mendoza slipped out of the handcuffs.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"KBAK\/KBFX\" class=\"ImageEmbed_image__qZBo_\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/09557ede-0247-4c9c-aa40-6dfe464b6866-Sequence_MILLS_ADOLFOMENDOZAARRAIGNMENT_0001_frame_5860.jpeg\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Escudero-Mendonza worked as a teacher&#8217;s aide at Chipman Junior High and as a Foothill High School track and field assistant coach before his arrest.<\/p>\n<p>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/bakersfieldnow.com\/news\/local\/kcsos-employee-arrested-on-child-molestation-child-porn-chargesbpd-seek-possible-victims-kern-county-superintendent-of-schools-bakersfield-chipman-junior-high-foothill-high-school-california\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">KCSOS employee arrested on child molestation, child porn charges; BPD seek possible victims<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Bakersfield Police Department said on April 29, 2026, officers arrested Escudero-Mendoza, an employee of the Kern County Superintendent of Schools, on multiple charges, including child molestation and possession of child pornography.<\/p>\n<p>Police said a day prior, on April 28, officers were called to Chipman Junior High after the school received a report of inappropriate behavior by a man, a teacher\u2019s aide who worked on campus.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Chipman Junior High School KBAK\/KBFX\" class=\"ImageEmbed_image__qZBo_\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/3855ee31-1d28-4bf4-82e5-5fc67aad3819-Sequence_MILLS_CHIPMANFENTANYL_0001_frame_854.jpeg\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Chipman Junior High School KBAK\/KBFX<\/p>\n<p>Prosecutors deemed him a flight risk and asked for no bail.
