LAS VEGAS, Nevada (WLAX\/WEUX) \u2013 Ivan Barbashev<\/a> scored the go ahead goal midway through the third period to lift the Vegas Golden Knights<\/a> to a 3 to 1 win over the Anaheim Ducks<\/a> in Game 1 of their Western Conference second round series Monday night.<\/p>\n

The play developed after Jack Eichel<\/a> beat out an icing call, creating a turnover along the boards. Pavel Dorofeyev<\/a> gathered the puck and cut through defenders before setting up Barbashev for a tap in at the left post.<\/p>\n

Vegas regained control shortly after Anaheim tied the game in the third period. Mikael Granlund<\/a> scored off a rebound to make it 1 to 1, but Barbashev answered just over a minute later to put the Golden Knights back in front.<\/p>\n

Brett Howden<\/a> opened the scoring earlier in the second period, finishing a pass from Mitch Marner<\/a> for his fourth straight game with a goal. Marner later added an empty net goal in the final seconds to seal the win.<\/p>\n

Carter Hart<\/a> made 33 saves for Vegas, while Lukas Dostal<\/a> stopped 19 shots for Anaheim.<\/p>\n

With the win, the Golden Knights take a 1 to 0 lead in the best of seven series. Game 2 is set for Wednesday night in Las Vegas.<\/p>\n
