Ma is the chair of the California Health Facilities Financing Authority, which is spearheading the effort. Revenue from the license plates would benefit 13 children’s hospitals across the state, including UC Davis Children’s Hospital. “Successful license plate efforts include the submittal of the application, and once the design is approved, reaching a preorder minimum of 7,500 license plates,” the treasurer’s office said.
