Chance the Rapper is officially kicking off the 10-year anniversary celebration of his groundbreaking project, Coloring Book, with a limited run of special screenings for his concert film Magnificent Coloring World — including one major stop in Los Angeles.

Originally filmed in 2016 and first previewed in 2021, Magnificent Coloring World is returning for its first official public screening series, giving fans a rare opportunity to experience the visual concert film in a shared theater setting, followed by an exclusive live Q&A with Chance himself.

For L.A. fans, this will be one of the only opportunities to celebrate the Coloring Book era alongside fellow fans in person.

🌴 When is Chance the Rapper coming to L.A.?

Chance the Rapper will host a special screening of Magnificent Coloring World in Los Angeles on June 20, 2026 at Rooftop Cinema Club Los Angeles.

This screening is part of a three-city anniversary run, with earlier stops in Chicago (May 16) and New York (May 20).

🎬 What is Magnificent Coloring World?

Rather than a traditional concert film, Magnificent Coloring World was designed as a fully staged visual production inspired by live theater.

Directed by Jake Schreier and filmed at Chicago’s historic Cinespace, the film transforms Chance’s Coloring Book era into an immersive visual experience through dramatic lighting, stylized set design, choir arrangements, and carefully choreographed live performances.

Fans can expect live renditions of beloved tracks including:

“No Problem”

“Blessings”

“Same Drugs”

The production also features the larger Coloring Book creative universe, blending gospel influences, live instrumentation, and ensemble staging that defined the mixtape’s unmistakable sound.

🎫 How To Get Tickets To Chance The Rapper In L.A.

Tickets for all Magnificent Coloring World screenings officially go on sale May 4, 2026.

Fans can purchase tickets directly through RooftopCinemaClub.com.

Because this is a limited screening series with live appearances from Chance, tickets are expected to move quickly.

🌟 Why is Coloring Book so popular?

Coloring Book remains one of the most influential independent releases of the streaming era.

Released in 2016, the project made history as the first streaming-only album to win Grammy Awards, taking home three trophies and helping redefine what success looked like for artists outside the traditional label system.

The mixtape featured major collaborators including Kanye West, Justin Bieber, Kirk Franklin, Lil Wayne, 2 Chainz, T-Pain, and Saba, while Chance’s signature mix of gospel, rap, soul, and live instrumentation helped make Coloring Book a cultural milestone.

This anniversary screening marks the opening chapter of a broader 10-year celebration rollout, making the L.A. event feel like a must-attend moment for longtime fans.
